Scavenger Hunt

On June 6 our theme is Asking for Directions. No one likes having to ask for directions, it's a little embarrassing. But we thought we would have a little fun with it and do a Scavenger Hunt. Let's see how many times you have to ask for directions when you're hunting around town for certain landmarks. To add a little incentive to your hunt we decided to have prizes.

Items you will need include:

A digital camera

A vehicle

A Scavenger Hunt Packet

Beginning June 6, a Scavenger Hunt Packet will be available in two ways:

It can be downloaded here

It can be picked up at First Missionary Church

Here's how it works:

Your Scavenger Hunt Packet will contain 15 photo-clues (in no particular order), all of which reside within a 10-mile radius of First Missionary Church. These photos will be of items that are in plain view as you drive (with the exception of a couple items in Riverfront Park, where you’ll have to walk around). You might even drive past some of them every day! When you find the item you have to take a picture of it, but at least one person from your party has to be in the picture too. That's how we'll confirm that you found it. (We strongly encourage making the photo interesting with funny faces, cartwheels, or any other clever antics you can think of!) When you've taken photos at all the clue locations you're almost finished. You just have to submit your photos for entry. 

To submit your photos, do one of the following:

Email your pictures to info@roadtripniles.com
Bring digital pictures (camera’s memory card, CD, or flash drive) to the church office during office hours

Take your camera's memory card to WalMart, print your pictures, and then submit them to the church office. (They will be available for pick-up on June 27.)

Prizes:

There are 10 prizes for the Scavenger Hunt. For each picture you submit, your family (or group) will receive one entry into the drawing for the prizes. So your goup can be entered in the drawing a total of 15 times if all clues are submitted.
Prize winners will be announced Sunday, June 27

Grand Prize:
Also, for those who complete the entire Scavenger Hunt, you will be entered once into the Grand Prize drawing at the end of the summer for an electronic GPS device.
